Install and activate Gold Sniper EA Bot on MetaTrader 5

Step-by-step setup

Work through each step in order. Scroll down for copy-paste URLs and FAQ.

  1. Copy file

    Place your EA file in the correct MT5 Experts folder.
    • Open MT5 and go to File > Open Data Folder.
    • Open MQL5 > Experts.
    • Paste your Gold Sniper EA .ex5 file there.
    • Restart MT5 or right-click Navigator > Refresh.

  2. WebRequest + Algo trading

    Allow internet access and trading permissions before attaching the EA.
    • Go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
    • Enable "Allow algorithmic trading".
    • Enable "Allow WebRequest for listed URL".
    • Add the license server URL exactly as shown below.

  3. Attach + Inputs

    Attach EA to XAUUSD chart and fill in activation inputs.
    • Open XAUUSD chart (recommended timeframe per strategy setup).
    • Drag Gold Sniper EA Bot from Navigator onto chart.
    • On Common tab, keep "Allow algo trading" checked.
    • On Inputs tab, paste your license key and activation URL.

  4. First run

    Verify successful activation and first initialization.
    • Click OK and watch Experts/Journal tabs for activation logs.
    • Confirm no WebRequest or license errors are shown.
    • Ensure the EA status on chart is active.
    • Run first on demo account before moving to live.

Important

First run needs internet access. In MT5 Expert Advisors options, the License server URL must show HTTPS and match exactly to avoid activation failure.

FAQ

I see a WebRequest error. What should I check?
Re-open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors and confirm "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" is enabled and the URL is exactly "https://license.goldenedge.ai" with HTTPS.
My key says already used. What does it mean?
The key may already be bound to another MT5 account number. Use the original account or contact support with your purchase email and MT5 login for reassignment help.
Can I use the same key on demo and live?
Demo and live accounts usually have different account numbers, so they are treated as different activations unless your plan explicitly supports multi-account usage.
Where exactly do I paste my license key?
Paste it in the EA Inputs tab after attaching to chart, in the license key field. Do not add extra spaces before or after the key.
Setup complete? Keep MT5 running and monitor the Experts tab for normal heartbeat logs.
